Whether moving to a new home or just rearranging your gym's equipment, it can be not very clear to pack and transport all of it. We've put together this handy guide on packing and moving your home gym equipment as safely as possible.
Boxing equipment
Treadmills are a popular choice for home gyms and can be used to perform many different exercises. If you're moving with your treadmill, make sure that the surface is sturdy enough to support the treadmill's weight while running. Before packing a treadmill, research how much weight your model can handle—some models are heavier than others!
If you have an older model with a manual incline feature (whereby you need to adjust the incline manually), remove this feature before shipping it so that no one has access during transport who might try using it improperly or damaging its parts in their efforts at exercise. If your treadmill has a motorized incline feature (whereby adjusting its height levels), make sure that this part is working properly before packing it up—it may need repairing if not sufficiently maintained over time or improperly stored after use.
Bikes
Bikes are often the heaviest items in the home gym and can be bulky. If you're planning on packing your bike, use plenty of padding to avoid damage. A bike box is perfect for this as it can accommodate both the frame and tires of most bikes. If you don't have a bike box, or if your bike won't fit inside, pack it with care in a large box with plenty of padding around all sides. Be sure not to leave spaces between these packages so that nothing moves around during transit!
Dumbbells
Dumbbells are a great way to tone your muscles and build strength. You can use them to perform various exercises that target specific areas of the body, including the arms and legs.
Dumbbells are also easy to store and move around if you need to rearrange your workout area. They're also portable enough that taking them with you on short trips would also be convenient!
Kettlebells
Kettlebells are also often referred to as "golf balls with handles," and for a good reason: They're small, heavy, and can be swung around with relative ease. Since kettlebells are usually made with a single piece of metal (generally cast iron or steel), they don't have any moving parts like other pieces of gym equipment; so moving them around is pretty simple. Keeping them organized at home isn't much harder, either.
If you have a lot of kettlebells—which we recommend if you're going to use them often—you'll want to get yourself some storage racks or benches that can hold your collection without taking up too much space. If not, there are plenty of other options available: Some people keep their kettlebells in boxes on top of their dressers; others hang theirs on hooks attached above doorways using S-hooks (don't forget the rubber bands!). Remember that whatever method you choose will need enough room for all those balls!
Exercise Balls
Exercise balls are a unique item that requires a specific packing method. The first step is to find a large box that will fit your exercise ball with at least 3 inches of space on all sides. Then fill it with packing peanuts and position the ball inside so it fits snugly and doesn't move around too much. You can also place a cloth bag over the ball to protect it from scratches or other damage during transport. Secure this bag to the top or side of your box using tape, bubble wrap, and foam (or any combination thereof). Once again, leave at least 3 inches of space between any part of your packing material and any part of your ball, so there's no risk of damage!
Why Hire Home Gym Equipment Movers
Whether you're moving to a new home or if you want to make some changes in your current one, choosing the right movers can save you from a lot of unnecessary stress. When it comes to moving gym equipment—including treadmills, elliptical machines, and weights—it's best to hire professionals with experience handling such items.
Hiring professional movers will ensure that your belongings are moved safely and efficiently without causing any damage along the way. You'll also save yourself time, money, and energy when hiring reliable professionals for these services rather than doing it yourself or asking friends/family members for assistance with packing/moving home gym equipment of their own volition.
